Audi 2024 A4 Avant’s Toned Shoulder Can’t Hide Under Camouflage

The snow in the Alps may melt, but Audi continues to test its upcoming vehicle at altitude. The latest shots taken by our spy photographers are of the A4 Avant.

Last seen in the cold, gray climax, the upcoming model looks quite handsome here, even under the guise. While much of its design is hidden, the angle resources and lighting here reveal that the new model will have muscular shoulders, even as a practical wagon, which gives us a lot of hope for it.

Expected to be the last generation of the A4 to use the internal combustion engine, the next generation Audi A4 will ride on a modified version of the MLB platform, on which the current model also sits.

However, it is expected to get an updated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that will use a light-hybrid 48-volt system. A plug-in hybrid version is also expected, which will probably be closely related to the powertrain in Q5 PHEV. Reports indicate that the high-performance RS4 will also be electrified, using a plug-in hybrid powertrain that produces more than the current RS4’s 444 hp (331 kW / 450 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque.

An all-electric RS4 is rumored to be joining the lineup, which could produce 469 hp (350 kW / 475 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. Based on the all-electric PPE platform that was co-developed with Porsche, a less intense (probably longer range) version is also expected.

We expect new A4 next year as 2024MY.
