The 2023 Toyota Supra is getting a long awaited six-speed manual, but the company hasn’t forgotten about their other sports cars.
Toyota has announced that the 2023 GR86 will get an interesting special version with a special solar shift orange color work is the complete opposite.
The retina’s burning color immediately attracts attention, but it’s not the only upgrade because the coupe comes equipped with a cat-back exhaust that can detect its presence. In addition to a “deep, roaring” sound, the extraction has black chrome tips with a dibbed GR logo.

Rounding out the exterior highlights are black log nuts with matte black 18-inch wheels as well as Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. They are joined by black C-pillar graphics and a black rear spoiler.
The interior basically carries, but drivers will get a special edition badge with solar shift orange accents. While not too much, the model is based on the GR86 premium and that means we can expect a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment system.
They are fitted with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum paddles, and perforated ultrasound front seats, as well as a leather bolster for heating. Buyers will also receive a dual-zone automatic climate control system and an eight-speaker audio system.
Production will be limited to 860 units, each with a familiar 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 228 hp (170 kW / 231 PS) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque. It can be combined with a six-speed automatic and manual transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential.
GR86 Cup to compete in the One-Make Racing Series
In addition to launching the special edition, Toyota has released additional details about the GR Cup One-Make Racing series that will be approved by SRO America.
Drivers will compete in the GR86 Cup, which has a front splitter, a ventilation hood and a carbon fiber rear wing. The model is equipped with a roll cage, a custom bore exhaust and adjustable shock. Other highlights include a Bosch engine management system, a SADEV six-speed sequential transmission and alcon brakes.
The series will begin next year and will feature 14 “affordable” events on seven circuits across the United States. The track location and price of the GR86 Cup will be announced this summer, but a total of $ 1 million (£ 790,040 / € 927,730) in cash and prizes will remain for possession.
