If you want a Ford 7.5L V8-powered 1988 Jeep Wrangler Hot Rod, extend your hand

It’s no secret that the Jeep Wrangler is a very popular go-to replacement. However, we never thought we would see the day when a Wrangler was transformed into a wild hot rod. This is exactly what you see in front of you, and the unique creation is currently on sale Ebay.

The list does not provide much information about the history of this Wrangler and how it ended, except to mention a 1988 model. From the pictures and information available, we can say that it bears little resemblance to its former tone.

For starters, every single body panel in the car is new and the proportions are very different from a typical Wrangler. The exterior is dominated by matte black panels with almost no closing lines while the front and side of the hot rod have wooden panels. It also sits on a new set of five-spoke wheels and the roof has been completely removed and replaced with some roll bars and a new windshield.

Much like the exterior, the Wrangler cabin is very basic. In fact, it’s nothing more than a custom wooden dashboard, a Jeep steering wheel and cream-colored leather seats.

You can forgive the car maker for making the exterior and interior so basic when you look under the hood. The original Wrangler engine is gone and has been replaced by a huge Ford 7.5-liter naturally-aspired V8 engine with an automatic transmission. It’s not clear how much power the Wrangler is pumping, but we do know it’s a rear-wheel drive and sure it’s a blast to launch a quarter-mile down.

Considering all the work going on in the car, the asking price of 17,950 doesn’t seem unreasonable, does it?
