The automaker continues Lamborghini’s strong start in 2022 with a single quarter recording its all-time best performance for turnover and profit.
The Italian automaker’s turnover peaked at € 592 million ($ 622 million) in Q1 2022, a significant increase of 13.3 percent over the first three months of 2021 which was a record-breaking year for the brand. In addition, Lamborghini’s operating profit rose 25 percent to € 178 million ($ 187 million) from € 142 million ($ 149 million) in the first quarter of 2021.
As announced in April, Lamborghini sold 2,539 cars in the first three months of the year. This 4.8 percent increase in deliveries not only contributed positively to the brand’s financial results but also had a favorable trend in exchange rates.

“The first quarter was the best for all major indicators, both business and financial,” said Stefan Winkelman, CEO of Automobile Lamborghini. “This is a result driven by a very attractive product range, and a strategy that aims to supply less than demand to keep aspirations high with a balanced distribution of sales in the three major regions of the world.”
In the first quarter of the year, Lamborghini entered the NFT world for the first time and opened multiple new dealerships in Stockholm, including a new site that serves as its second dealership in Sweden.
This new dealership has a 424-square-meter showroom with a dedicated area for Lamborghini’s ad personum customization program. This facility also includes a dedicated service center.
“The beginning of 2022 was marked by an ongoing context of uncertainty,” said Paolo Poma, managing director and chief financial officer of Lamborghini, referring to the company’s latest financial report. “In this case, the results of the first quarter again show Lamborghini’s resilience. We will continue to work with the conviction that we can sustain our growth throughout the year compared to the 2021 results. ”
