TuneIn, the world’s largest live audio streaming service, announced today that its app will be integrated into Rivian vehicles like the R1T. Automaker joins Mercedes, Volvo and Tesla to offer the service.
TuneIn claims to be one of the fastest growing streaming audio companies in the world and wants to bring live and local radio, news, sports and podcasts to listeners wherever they are in the world.
Offering live sports coverage, music channels and talk radio, it works somewhat like satellite radio and offers live feeds from more than 100,000 local radio stations. Also, listeners can access several podcasts through the TuneIn app.

At TuneIn, we’re working with some of the world’s most innovative automotive companies to reinvent radio and live premium audio entertainment for connected vehicles. Enables to do and access. “
TuneIn’s latest announcement comes as a result of its partnership with HARMAN. By integrating the app into the HARMAN Ignite Store, a leading integrated vehicle platform that enables automakers to create their own vehicle app store, the audio service could be offered to more drivers.
“Over the years, we’ve seen a lot of innovation in the auto infotainment space,” said Jennifer Collins, TuneIn’s Senior Vice President for Business Development. “At TuneIn, we offer the same level of customization and ease of use for in-car audio entertainment.”
