Lexus has confirmed the world premiere of the new generation RX for June 1, releasing the first teaser photo of the luxury SUV which it says has “gone through a complete renovation”.
The teaser gives us a good idea of the front design which incorporates the latest design language from Lexus. The newer and more sculpted nose is similar to the smaller NX, but the spindle grille is not covered, featuring a more modern pattern. In addition, the LED headlights are sharper than before, and the bumper adoption has increased for a more sporty look.

Although we do not see the RX’s profile or rear edge, we do expect an evolutionary approach with modern surfacing. Inside, the RX will benefit from Lexus’ new infotainment with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, as seen in the NX and the recently updated UX. The Lexus Safety System + 2.5 ADAS suite will probably be standardized on all variants in line with the automaker’s strategy.
The current fourth-generation Lexus RX debuted in 2015 and got a facelift in 2019, as well as some smaller model year updates. Like its predecessors, the new model will have a hybrid powertrain that is expected to improve power output and efficiency.
We’ll learn more about the 2023 Lexus RX in a digital presentation on Wednesday, June 1st.
