Tesla already wants to expand its German plant, despite production starting on site only in March.
The carmaker currently operates a 300-hectare site in Germany that includes a car factory and a battery plant currently under construction. It recently submitted an application for the construction of a freight station, logistics area and additional 100 hectares of land for additional parking space.
The Gruenheide Municipal Committee will discuss the matter on June 2 and decide whether the plans will be approved by June 23. Auto News Report
The Tesla German plant has the capacity to produce 500,000 vehicles and 50 GWh batteries annually, making it the largest single EV site in Germany. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

While the factory is now up and running, it was not easy for Tesla to reach this stage.
