In addition to the headlights, changes to the current 3-Series are expected in the grille, air intake, and rear bumper, with new wheel designs and a wider color palette. The Turing bodystyle will survive as a practical alternative to the traditional four-door sedan. Finally, BMW will again offer optional M performance components for those who want to bring the 3-Series closer to the M3 in terms of styling, which will also include an Alpina B3 spec.
Inside, the model will inherit a new digital cockpit with a curved panel and the latest operating system 8 that has already entered several new BMW offerings, including the new 7-Series flagship. Tools can get more sophisticated ADAS systems as buyers in the segment are quite demanding in terms of technology.
The 3-Series engine range will likely include light-hybrid and plug-in hybrid options, as well as slightly updated petrol and diesel powertrains. Unlike the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which has only gone four-cylinder, the facelifted BMW 3-Series will keep the twin-turbo 3.0-liter Straight-Six for the Sporty M340i variant. We will learn everything about the updated model and its upcoming debut.
