Everyone likes a good restmod, but every now and then there comes one that really blows our socks off. This 1956 Chevrolet Bell-Air is one of them, and we will truly consider it a work of art. For এ 199,900 on eBay (although the listing is over, which means it’s sold out), Bell-Air has received a full frame-of-bread rotary recovery in addition to its numerous upgrades.
In terms of aesthetics, the exterior of the Chevy Sports Silver Paint is complemented by matte pewter metallic trim and bumpers (trimmed and shaved), billet specialty alloy wheels and LED projector headlights. Inside, there’s a custom burgundy leather upholstery, digital gauge, a custom center console and headliner, a new audio system with a retro-styled radio, and a locker floor shifter replacing the original column-mounted unit.

In the case of almost every restmode, this bell-air has bites to back up its skin. Powering it is a 5.7-liter LS1 V8, and no word on power, even the stock engines have made a minimum of 305 hp (309 PS / 227 kW) in the US market and have been replaced. Upgrades include a ceramic coated headboard and a flowmaster muffler, a griffin aluminum radiator and a dual electric cooling fan. The 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, and the vehicle also has full power operation for steering, brakes, and windows.

Other new mechanics include a four-link live axle with independent suspension at the front and a curved 9-inch axle at the rear with tubular upper and lower control arms. The car has new disc brakes on all four corners with height-adjustable air suspension, as well as CPP calipers and drilled and slotted rotors. And back to those billet specialty alloy wheels, they measured 18 inches on the front and 20 inches on the back, and compared to stock rims, the tires they run are 55mm and 75mm wide, respectively.
