The special edition of the BMW M’s 50th anniversary celebration includes the M 1000 RR

BMW M is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary and has just launched a special edition of the M 1000 RR sports bike.

Dubbed the 50 Years M Anniversary Edition, the bike is finished in the same shade of Sওo Paulo Yellow as the current BMW M4. It comes standard with the same 50 year old BMW M badge as the company’s performance car.

Those who want to get the key of M 1000 RR 50 Years M Anniversary Edition can also choose 50 Years /// M package. This kit includes M GPS lap timer trigger software, rear seat cover and passenger kit, M carbon package with carbon fiber front and rear fender, top fairing side panel, left and right carbon tank cover, carbon chain guard and carbon sprouted. The billet pack includes aluminum billet engine protector, folding brake and clutch level, rear seat of M rider and front brake lever guard. The 50 year /// M package includes a clean anodized swingarm and M endurance chain.

Mechanically, the special edition model is similar to the standard M 1000 RR. For example, it is powered by a 999 cc four-cylinder pumping 205 hp at 13,000 rpm and 83 lb-ft (112 Nm) of torque at 11,000 rpm. The bike can accelerate to 60 mph (96 km / h) in less than 3.1 seconds and can top out at 189 mph (304 km / h).

The German carmaker is introducing a plethora of new performance models throughout 2022. In addition to recently announcing this special edition of the M 1000 RR, BMW M has just unveiled the 2023 M4 CSL.

This variant of the M4 has benefited from numerous upgrades to its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Straight-Six, allowing it to pump 543 hp at 6,250 rpm and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque between 2,750 and 5,950 rpm. This allows it to hit 60 mph (96 km / h) in 3.6 seconds The car will be sold exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission that transmits power through the rear wheels.
