Thanks to its high-revolving V10 engine, the Audi R8 V10 will be remembered as one of the best supercars of the last 15 years, though it does not come from the most foreign brands. This R8 V10 is a little more impressive than most.
Apparently not satisfied with how much power the car had out of the box, the owner of this R8 went to VF Engineering and asked them to install a supercharger on the V10. Such upgrades are quite common for the R8 and while they do not increase power at the stratospheric level of some twin-turbo packages, adding a supercharger can significantly increase power without affecting the ability to drive.

This particular R8 is owned by YouTuber Mike Tornabene and runs on a 6.5 psi boost. It is cited as having between 720 hp and 750 hp in the crank and Hunigan strapped it to the dinosaur to see how much it grants through the wheels.
Three performance runs were performed and the best stats recorded were 595 hp and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) wheel torque. As one YouTuber noted, these figures are easy to ridicule when there are twin-turbocharged R8 and Lamborghini Huracans pushing up to 3,000 hp, as well as all-electric hypercars moving faster at 2,000 hp, but for a road-legal vehicle, 600 hp wheel power. Lots.
The future of the Audi R8 remains uncertain. Over the last 12 months, various rumors have been circulating about the next generation model and some have claimed that it will land with the twin-turbocharged V8. However, by the end of 2021, Linda Kurz, head of product marketing at Audi Sport, has confirmed that the next ‘R’ model will be all-electric but it is not yet clear whether it will be a direct successor to the R8.
