Audi has built a stunning sports sedan in the form of the RS7 but ABT’s tuning folks have taken it a step further by creating 125 special editions, including the 700-hp. As we take a closer look at some of the changes we’ve included and available, we’re wondering if you value the product.
The base Audi RS7 starts at 118,500 and includes a 591-hp (440 kW) twin-turbocharged V8, Quattro AWD and an eight-speed transmission. This is a powerful package that we fans but ABT’s team has the ability to grow even bigger before going home.
And that’s why ABT has created the RS7-R Limited Edition to address those who need more speed. The engine is almost untouched but manages to produce 690-hp (514 kW) for ECU tuning.

Of course, the rest of the car features ABT-specific features such as a new muffler, “high-performance” HR22 wheels, and of course, a carbon fiber ABT trunk spoiler. That light weight component, carbon fiber, is also a key feature of the ABT package.
It features shift knob covers, rocker panels, side skirts, front lip and front trim. ABT adds a dashboard symbol, entrance lights and floor mats. All of these exclusive and look-centric packages cost 38,990 if you already have a car or $ 200,000 if you don’t have one.
Of course, savvy buyers may know that ABT offers an “power upgrade” with an ABT ECU, cable harness and mounting bracket that matches the power of the ABT RS7-R for only $ 3,990. That’s right, you can spend about a tenth of the price of a special package and get the same power.
In fact, it will save about $ 34,000 extra to spend on your personal customization which will take your car from 1 to 1 in 125. But this does not mean that the changes included in the ABT package do not qualify .
As a brand, ABT has long supported the Monster of the Weekend and those who want to get more performance from their somewhat nerfed stock automobiles. It’s a heavy price to pay but we understand why it would be worth it for about 125 people in North America.
